A young man in a salamander-patterned tunic and feathered hat stands in a desert, holding a tall leafy wand upright and gazing up at its tip with fascination. His boots have flame-like tops, and three pyramids rise behind him. The Page of Wands is the student of fire: curious, enthusiastic and full of fresh ideas. Waite described him in the act of proclamation, a faithful messenger whose news is unusual.
Upright meaning
The Page of Wands brings enthusiasm, curiosity and a free spirit eager to explore. Something new is calling, an idea, a creative project or an adventure, even if it is still at the dreaming stage. Exciting news may arrive. As a person, this is a lively, faithful young spirit full of possibility.
Reversed meaning
Too many sparks, not enough kindling; choose one idea to follow.
Plenty of sparks, but they may not be catching. Scattered energy, impatience or indecision can keep you hopping between ideas, and delayed or mixed news could be part of the picture. As a person, this may be someone charming but inconsistent, or your own restless side.
In love
A flirtation that feels fun, playful and full of possibility. Singles may feel bold enough to make the first move or enjoy dating with curiosity. Couples could rediscover playfulness together with a spontaneous date or a shared adventure. It may be more spark than commitment for now.
Mixed signals, inconsistent attention or someone more in love with the chase than the connection may be in play. If you feel restless yourself, ask what you are really seeking. Fun is lovely; it just needs honesty to grow into more.
As feelings
How someone may feel, or see you, when Page of Wands turns up for them.
They come across as lively, curious and fun, with a youthful spark whatever their age. They are interested and may send an enthusiastic message or invitation.
They may be charming but inconsistent, quick to start and slow to follow through. Their excitement is genuine, though their attention may wander.
At work
A new idea, role or learning opportunity has you buzzing. This card favors exploring, pitching creative concepts and saying yes to beginnings, even if you are still learning the ropes. Messages about work could bring promising news.
Exciting work ideas may lack follow-through, or delays are dampening your enthusiasm. If you keep starting projects without finishing them, pick one and give it structure. Mixed messages from others may need clarifying before you act.
Money
Curiosity about new ways to earn, learn or manage money is a good sign. You might explore a side project or a skill that could become valuable. Start small and let enthusiasm guide your learning rather than your spending.
Impulse spending on new hobbies or projects you may not finish is worth noticing. Pause before buying all the equipment for a dream you have not tested yet. Small experiments are kinder to your wallet and just as revealing.
Inner growth
Try approaching life as a beginner for a while, curious and unafraid to look a little foolish. Your inner child is ready to play, explore and discover what lights you up. Treat this as a season of exploration rather than performance.
You may be struggling to commit to one path, worried you will miss something better. Growth here comes from choosing, then staying long enough to learn. Notice when restlessness is a way of avoiding depth.
Yes or no
Yes, because the Page of Wands carries enthusiasm, good news and the courage to begin.
Maybe, since the idea has promise, but scattered energy or delays may slow it down.
As an outcome
If you keep following your curiosity, this path leads toward new adventures and creative beginnings. Something fresh and exciting looks ready to unfold.
On the current path, enthusiasm may scatter before it bears fruit. Focusing your energy could turn early sparks into something lasting.

The story
The Page of Wands is the earth of fire, the place where inspiration first touches the ground. He carries the Ace's spark into ordinary life as a message, a hobby or a bold idea. Among the court he is the beginner who has not yet learned caution. The Knight will take this same desert road at a gallop, while the Queen and King show what that fire becomes when it matures into warmth and vision.
