How yes or no tarot works
Shuffle, ask, turn one card. That's the whole ritual. Each of the 78 cards has a traditional leaning, and the way it lands, upright or reversed, sharpens the answer.
An upright card of light, growth or union leans yes. The Sun, the Star and the Ace of Cups are the clearest yeses in the deck.
A card of delay, loss or conflict says not now. It isn't a closed door: something needs to shift, heal or ripen first.
Some cards are truly undecided, like the Two of Swords or the Moon, and most bright cards soften to maybe when they land reversed.
The answer is only half of it. Under every verdict you'll find what the card is saying about your question, so a “not now” comes with a reason and a next step.

Tips for a clear answer
- Ask one thing. “Should I apply for the role?” reads clearer than two questions in one.
- Ask about you. Questions about your own choices get more useful answers than questions about what someone else will do.
- Sit with the first card. Notice how the answer feels in your body: relief and disappointment are answers too.

Questions
Is this yes or no tarot reading really free?
Yes. The yes or no card is free and unlimited, with no sign-up and no email. Your question stays on your device: only the focus you choose (love, work, money, self or general) is used to draw and read the card.
How does one tarot card answer a yes or no question?
Every card carries a traditional leaning. Bright, forward-moving cards such as the Sun, the Star or the Ace of Cups lean yes. Cards of delay, loss or conflict lean towards not now. A few cards, like the Two of Swords or the Moon, are truly undecided and answer maybe. A reversed card usually softens the answer: most yeses become a maybe, and many not-nows ease into a maybe too.
What does a "Not now" or "Maybe" answer mean?
Not now means the energy around your question isn't ready yet: something needs to change, heal or become clearer first. Maybe means the outcome is still open and depends on choices that haven't been made. Read the card's message under the answer; it usually points to what would tip the balance.
Can I ask the same question again?
You can ask as often as you like. Many readers find the first answer is the one worth sitting with, and that asking again right away mostly reflects how much you want a different answer. If a question needs more depth than yes or no, a full reading with several cards will tell you far more.
